I have been trying for a while, to upload photos but it has been so slow that I gave up a couple of times. Now that it is the weekend, I finally have the motivation to update. [I am now in the computer lab, where the speed is about 100Mbps!]
It has been an overwhelming start, I must be honest. It's only the first week, and already I'm slightly worried about how things work etc. Okay, take away the 'slightly'. I was quite stressed out. Haha
But no worries, I just have to work hard everyday, pre-read notes and go over what we learn on the day.
But the fun part..
We had a Courts Mission last week, where everyone who stays at the court gathered for an activity. We were in teams [my flatmates and I were a team by ourselves Flat A and our team name was Awesome HAHA]
and then we were given a list of things where we have to go around Dunedin to look for them and take photos! So it is a Photo Scavenger Hunt.
The things on the list included things like
- a random person with dreads
- a random person doing handstand
- as many libraries as u can find each worth 5 points
- clubs and socs building
- st david lecture theatre
- a parrot
- Jef look-a-like [jef is one of our RAs)
- funniest photo 50 points
- most bizarre photo 50 points
and many many more.

Then the photos were given to our RAs [residential assistants, who look after us] and they were shown to us at dinner the next day.
When the winner was announced, the room was soooo silent.
Because the "underdogs" won.
Flat A Awesome WON.
We were SO surprised. We didn't even pay attention to the prizes when they were announced beforehand, coz we knew we wouldn't win. HAHA
after that, my flatmates and I were SO hyper and laughing and giggly the whole way home. We are too happy!!
The RA Jef even said that we won by a long shot - meaning the runner-up was not close in points.
Anyways, the prize is that we get pizzas and ps3 and singstar and drinks and cakes etc.. next Saturday! So yay!

hahaha erm. we didnt get ps3.. it was a ps2!
and i forgot to clarify that the ps2 belonged to the college, and we "got" it for one night only. HAHA
but it was still fun. singstar and guitar hero etc
