Twos a company, 3...is not a crowd

Today's Famous English Idioms include one that most of you should know of..
Two's Company; Three's A Crowd
( a group of two people is comfortable; a group of three is not comfortable ... )
Most people would think that when there is an odd number [most commonly, 3] of people in a group of friends, one is bound to feel left out. It depends actually, on the individuals themselves. In most cases, it might be true. But in my case.. I have to say, the number 3 have found its way into my lives in a lot of situations.
If taking friendships as an example...
In primary school life, even though we have "best friends", I think we all still play in one big group. A few faces to name such as Michelle, Arelene, Kairunisya, Sucilla, Clare... These are the few girls I remember from primary 1. I remember being friends one day, quarreling the next, and making up the day after that. That's pretty common, for children around that age-range right?
So in the early primary school days, we play with anyone, and everyone is our friend. As we grow up, we develop those friendships, meet new people, attain stable relationships and the cycle continues because of the people we meet in everyday life.
But then, as time passes, the friendships we develop give us the meaning of the term 'close friends or best friends'.
Sometimes, I think to myself, how envious I am when I see other people having "childhood friends" who they have been close to ever since they were young, and they have a lot of memories together. Friends that been to the same school together all those years... etc.
But, if time turns back, I would want life to be the way it has been. No changes.
I think, if I haven't been to NZ.. I wouldn't have met my friends there...
I think, if I haven't been to NZ, I wouldn't have gone to London.. I wouldn't have met my friends there too...
And the thing is, though I was upset that I did not have a chance to get to know my friends in Bintulu more, we are still keeping in touch after 7-8years, even if we aren't as close as I wish we are.
It is quite painful to think of the ones that were so close before. But because of the circumstances, we don't even keep in contact anymore.
I have a feeling I am off the topic again. Shsh.
What was I saying?
Oh yes.
Two's a company, three's a crowd.Do you feel left out when you are in a group of 3 friends?
As far as I can remember, most of my circle of friends consist of 3 people. So, I guess I am used to it. I admit there are a few times when I will feel left out but it's normal. I would rather I be the one that is left out, than be the one included and see the pain in the other person.
It's not as honorable as it sounds, just that..
Because I know how I feel, and I can control it in my own way. I have ways to heal myself.
But I can't do it for someone else. I won't be able to protect him/her.
And a word of advice for people who feel left out.
Don't.
Of course it is hard not to. But, slowly develop the friendship with both of them, even if separately. And don't cause another person to feel left out!!
Hmm.
Maybe next time I will include some photos.
Right now, I have lost my sense of writing. Err. In the sense that I don't make any sense. And I forgot what my point of starting this post is about.
Maybe just to release some frustrations?

eh u too la, lynnx01. muahaha..
wat u said was correct, u rather be the one left out than the other not left out, but i ask u, WHAT HAPPENS IF the other two doesnt care wat u think and continue to left u out. and they act as if nothing is wrong and only find u when something is wrong or in trouble.
WHAT IF.
I'm saying this in case some people who reads this think that I think of them in the wrong way.
But I will admit that I haven't been in the position of the two other people who doesn't feel left out. Because I don't think I have done that to anyone. But I do know that I have always tried to make others feel they are welcome and don't feel left out.
