Part 2 of Wong Family trip
Wednesday, December 19, 2007
After such a delayed update, here's the rest of the Wong family trip.
The Wong family, Jas and Mummy went to Paris for 4 days after we returned from the trip to Madame Tussauds and London Eye. On Friday 14th Dec, I brought Lynthia to school with me to spend the day at a London school. Overall, I think she found it quite fun but a teeeny bit boring in some classes. I was reeeaally happy to bring her into my Physics lesson because that is the time when we'd definitely have loads of fun. I lov my Physics class - the guys and Mr B are just too funny!
That night, we set off to Victoria Bus Station again and at 11.15pm, we boarded a Megabus coach to Edinburgh, Scotland. The bus ride was horribly uncomfortable because it was really small! We arrived at about 9am, and Osbert a.k.a. Osbie (my spelling!) joined us. He came down from Newcastle that same day.

At Edinburgh bus station

Lyn and Jas at our luggage locker

My family with the nice scenery - a monument and "Edinburgh Eye" (just a passing carnival)

The most perfect jump we did
And there were many photos of us as we walked around the city centre looking at the wonderful architectures, as well as visiting and window-shopping at the various small shops...

failed attempt...

my highest jump i think! but what's the 2 doing just standing there??! :P

perfect. -ish :)

Our grape-eating competition, which I started because Ivy didn't want to eat some smushed ones, and I know a competition is the only way everyone will eat it. I think I won most of the time - even the "eating 3 grapes at once and see who swallows first" round.

we are so
long!

lunch at a Chinese Restaurant

In the afternoon, after lunch, us kids went our separate ways whilst the 4 adults went "shopping". We headed off to the Edinburgh Dungeon, all pumped up and excited to get scared.

But, turns out it was quite disappointing because even though I was a little nervous when we were inside, it wasn't all that scary and it ended too soon.

Next, we walked back to the Bus station to get our luggages and began to walk to our apartment. It stated that it was 15min from the city centre but it took us at least 40min before we reached it, but we stopped complaining when we stepped into our room.

Outside the hotel/apartment waiting

The living room, where Osbie, Jas, Lyn and I slept for the night

supposedly drinking "wine"

breakfast in the morning

Photo session in the garden

the girls and Osbie, with 12 ears - 10 oddly-shaped ones

our famous jump :D

Walking to the bus station at about 10am the next day

the beautiful evil-looking monument and wheel

I want that bear!

North Angel (pic taken from bus)

I'm unsure what happened there :)

We arrived in London at 8pm, and headed home tiredly. School again for me the next day, which was really disappointing because it was their last day in London, but I didn't get to bunk off.
Monday night, we had a big feast, and everyone had some wine - except Ivy and Lynna. We mixed Tango with the Port red wine, and I drank 2 glasses. It was the first time I ever felt light-headed and puke-y so I had to go to bed kinda early, I actually fell asleep before I wanted to - I think I was halfway through texting or talking to them in Ivy's room. Oopsies.

Everyone!
