The Swiss Life..

I finally took the time to write about our holiday in Switzerland. Two days ago, I uploaded all the photos that we took in Switz, and the total came up to 536 photos and videos. AMAZING huh!!! Which is why it has taken me so long to finish this post.
But anyway, at 2am on Monday 27th August, we left in the taxi to Luton Airport, our flight scheduled at 6.30am. However, reaching the airport, something really terrible happened. We forgot daddy's passport. Big ~eeeek!~. So daddy and I took the taxi again and went home to get it. Luckily we made it back in time and it wasn't even check-in time.
We reached Geneva at around 9am local time. The real journey begins....
Veep and train
From Geneva, we took the train to Interlaken West, where we stayed for 2 days.

Reaching Interlaken West, we checked into Hotel Rossli and went out for lunch. We went to Coop supermarket to get some food and water.
Look how tiny the trolley is!!! awww! (well, it's specially for kids!)
Don't I look like a giant?

Coop, and the nice fountain. The water looks really blue doesnt it?

After lunch, we walked around the whole town of Interlaken. Oh by the way, DIE means THE :) so it says THE POST.

There were lots of people skydiving! I would love to try it... but didn't get the chance to

The Grand Palace Hotel (i think it's a hotel.... *blur*)

Can anyone guess what this is? I shall reveal the answer in the next post :)
Aww. the bear is just too utterly adorable that we couldn't resist taking a photo with him

The view from our balcony in our room at Hotel Rossli
The next day, we took the train to Jungfraujoch, which is the TOP OF EUROPE. Jungfraujoch is in the
Bernese Alps on the boundary between the cantons of
Bern and
Valais. It's meant to be filled with snow I think.. But unfortunately, since it's summer, there isn't a lot of snow...

The sceneries were breathtaking! Reminds me of Queenstown in New Zealand

We're halfway theeeere!!!

And we're at the top of Europe!! Look at how amazing the view is! And it was cold too...

In the ice palace

At the plateau (outdoors)
We kept slipping and almost fell over because the wind was soooo strong!!

Husky dog!!!!!!! Ivy and I really wanted to go on the husky ride but the fog was heavy and the wind is unbearable. We missed out a good opportunity... but it was worrying to go on it too so I convinced Ivy she'll have the chance to go next time.

The heavy fog. Come to think of it, I love mist ^_^
The platform have holes and I discovered that I have a minor fear of height. I was even paralysed with fear at a stage

SNOW!!!

Returning from the top, we took a different route down the Jungfraujoch region... and look!!!

AWWWWW~! I just wanted to hug him!!! Such a cute dog!!!

more views...

We stopped at Grindewald to have a look around and returned to the hotel at around 4pm

In the train, listening to my new mp3 cd using my new awesome cool pretty comfy earphones *hyper*

Interlaken Ost, 4 minutes away from Interlaken West
The next day, we took the train at 9am to Bern, the capital of Switzerland, checked into Hotel Goldener Schlüssel and went out straightaway.

One of the clock towers in Bern...

Beautiful...
Next, we went to the Bear Pits, one of the tourist attractions... Have I mentioned before that polar bears are my favourite animal? So yea, I love bears :)

Awww!! He looked bored. There were 2 bears in the bear pit.
Bear 1: I'm bored!

Bear 2: Take a picture of me!

Bear 2: I'm looking for food

Bear 1: Aih. stop with the photos!!

Bear 2: Hahaha! You can't find me anymore.
Walking around the town, we saw this sign that says it was Einstein's home!! Amazing, apparently he had lived there for some time. But we didn't enter his house though.
Cheeky.
Fourth day. We took the train again, this time to Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland.

Bahnof SBB (train station) and it was always raining

The
twosis statue ^_^
At Zurich, we took the tram everywhere just to have a look around the city. The view is beautiful too
In the afternoon, we took the tram to a large shopping mall called the Sihlcity. (the building beside this hotel, which you can't see in this picture, haha) It has 80 shops and 9 cinemas and lots of restaurants. The only thing lacking is ...people.

Cool chairs eh?

The arena cinema

Coop City! Our source of
non-gassata water

I finally get the chance to sleep at the top of a bunk bed!

Another railway station

BEAR~! you should realise my bear-craze now :) they are just so... huggable
Jelmoli - big shopping mall, all branded shops. Ergh. Don't like going into branded shops, there's nothing to buy
Our big legs

The next day, it's time to leave Zurich for Basel...
And so, at Basel, the place we stayed was a bit crappy, but I got to sleep at the top of the bunk bed again. We took the tram around the city and started to shop...

Ice cream!

Phone!

The streets of Marktplatz in Basel

And there was a concert - it was ...loud :)

Don't you just want to go in?

On the last day, we went to Three Country Corner, where it is the border of the three countries - Switzerland, Germany and Netherlands

I just had to put this picture in. Ivy and her love of motion pictures, crediting my professional photography skills (haha)

3 countries' corner!
More walking around to pass the time..

At Basel airport, flight was at 10pm and we reached Luton airport at 10.30ishpm London time (time difference taken into account!) But due to traffic jam, we reached home at 1am, hahaha.
Anyway, school is restarting this Wednesday. Tomorrow. Yippee. Joy.
No more weekdays onlining.

i changed my mind. i decide to say it is a fluffy dog then.

WAH WAH WAH!!!!
it's definitely a bear...a dog cant be that fat-ish, i think...
u may find it nice to sleep in a double bunker, but i find it troublesome have to climb up when sleep and especially lazy to climb down after waking up, ending me always jumping down...
-
Pyroboy, dogs are wonderful and they can be pseudo-fattish whatever you call it. HEhehe.. for eg my Shoobie.. looks like lion/bear/alligator/rabbit depending on his style, action and position. HAhaha!
-
That trip sounded amazing!!! You are sooo lucky!!! Switzerland is beautiful isn't it?! You sound like you had an amazing time!
By the way I think that animal that you asked about is a bear!
